The air inlet and outlet on this intercooler go directly through the intercooler; preventing the air from changing direction can result in better airflow.
Note: Most of the barrel style intercoolers available have barbed fittings instead of 1/2" NPT Female fittings like ours for the water inlet/outlet. Our fittings allow you to use one of our adaptors or installation kits (sold separately) to run traditional hose, or braided stainless steel hose and fittings, or anything else you can think of without any installation headaches.
